Filipino Beef steak, or commonly known in Tagalog as "bistek", is a thin slice of beef marinated in soy sauce and calamansi. It is the Filipino version of beef steak.

Cooking Ingredients
1 lb beef sirloin. Sliced thin.
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 pieces calamansi or 1 lemon
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 large onion, sliced into rings
3 tbsp cooking oil
Cooking Instructions
In a large pan, marinade beef in soy sauce, calamansi (or lemon), and ground black pepper. Cover and let it sit for at least 1 hour.
Heat the frying pan and add marinated beef. Fry until medium tender and set aside.
In the same frying pan. Stir fry onion rings until soft.
Add all the meat and the marinade back into the frying pan.
Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until meat is tender.
